We are very pleased to announce that the new annex has now been completed!
The project was initiated by residents of the village at an open meeting back in January 2017 when funding became available to the Vale of Glamorgan Council following the building of new houses in the village.
The Ystradowen Community and Sports Association (YCSA) took up the challenge and the finished project is an example of the European Union and Welsh Government investing in rural areas using the European Union Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
The facilities include two further meeting rooms with tea point for community use and hire; additional car parking; access to full high speed broadband; a Community Cinema and a competition-standard Petanque Piste in nearby Parc Owain.
Residents can hire the facilities and enjoy events put on by the committee and the premises will now attract more outside agencies, educators, groups and clubs to hire the space for business and pleasure.
